India invites applications for car import quota under India-UK trade pact

India has invited applications for the first round of 2026 import quotas for fully-built passenger cars and goods vehicles from the UK under the India-UK free trade agreement. Importers can apply for tariff rate quota (TRQ) benefits between July 21 and August 4, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said.
