Opposition Congress in Manipur criticises ruling BJP govt for not being able to expand the council of ministers

The Congress in Manipur has criticised the BJP-led government for delaying expansion of the council of ministers, with former chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh saying Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh is handling around 20 departments and the state lacks a dedicated Education Minister. He said the situation reflected governance challenges ahead of the expected assembly elections next year.
