US says it will not block Maria Corina Machado's return to Venezuela

The United States will not prevent Maria Corina Machado from returning to Venezuela. A US diplomat stated that conditions must be right for her safe arrival. Machado has been unable to return to Caracas after leaving in December. The US has made its position clear to interim Venezuelan authorities. Venezuela's interim president announced plans to meet with opposition party members soon.
