Sindhu stuns world No. 5 Han Ye to enter Japan Open quarterfinals

PV Sindhu secured a quarterfinal spot at the Japan Open tournament. She defeated China's world number five Han Yue in straight games. Sindhu will now face Japan's Nozomi Okuhara in her next match. The mixed doubles pair of Crasto and Kapila were eliminated earlier. Sindhu remains India's sole competitor in the event.
