Power supply advisory to states, utilities likely soon

The power ministry will issue an advisory to states and utilities. This advisory focuses on strengthening preparedness for erratic weather conditions. Utilities will be directed to maintain adequate coal and water supplies. Preventive maintenance will also be completed to minimise power outages. Peak demand is projected to remain high over the next three months.
