Former TMC Rajya Sabha MPs Sushmita Dev, Sukhendu Sekhar Ray, Prakash Chik Baraik join BJP

Three former Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MPs joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Kolkata. Sushmita Dev, Sukhendu Sekhar Ray, and Prakash Chik Baraik had resigned from their seats. These leaders had previously quit the Mamata Banerjee-led party after election results. Their resignations created vacancies, prompting bypolls for the Rajya Sabha seats. The BJP now aims to secure all three positions in the West Bengal Assembly.
