Amit Shah directs immigration checkpoints at Jewar, Agartala airports to open soon

Union Home Minister Amit Shah directed operationalization of immigration checkpoints at Agartala and Jewar airports. He also prioritized development of sixty-two airports within two years for passenger convenience. Foreigners Regional Registration Offices will become operational at all state headquarters by 2027. A mechanism will be established to promote the Fast Track Immigration Programme with airlines. Automated X-ray Tray Return Systems will be installed nationwide to reduce human resource costs.
