At least 11 members of the wealthy Soros family donated maximum contributions totaling north of $1.6 million to Congressional candidates in the midterms, showing the clan's grip on American politics extends even beyond patriarch George and his son Alex - who was handed the reins of the multibillion-dollar empire.
