On Akhilesh's birthday, SP workers portray him as Lord Krishna; BJP demands apology

Party leaders stated this symbolised Yadav's commitment to justice and righteousness. The BJP criticised the act as an insult to Sanatan Dharma and demanded an apology, accusing the SP of religious appeasement. Workers also performed a 'havan' praying for justice and righteousness to prevail in society.
