Several parts of Mumbai receive 100 mm of rains in 24 hours; local train services face delays

Mumbai experienced significant rainfall, with several areas receiving over 100 mm in 24 hours, leading to waterlogging in the Andheri subway and other low-lying spots. Traffic diversions were implemented. While BEST buses ran normally, suburban train services faced delays. Harbour line services were disrupted due to a snapped overhead wire. Eastern suburbs bore the brunt with an average of 109 mm of rain.
