Forget gold rush, diamonds rain on this planet, and it's located in our solar system
Deep within Uranus and Neptune, immense pressure and heat are transforming carbon into diamonds that rain down through the planets' interiors. Scientists at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory recreated these conditions, confirming the rapid formation of nanodiamonds. This phenomenon could create vast diamond layers, influencing planetary heat escape and magnetic fields, and may be a common process on exoplanets across the galaxy.
