ICAI to help Tirupati temple enhance accounting system

India's wealthiest religious trust, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, is partnering with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to enhance its donation record-keeping. This move follows scrutiny of religious trusts amid embezzlement allegations at the Ayodhya Ram temple. ICAI is developing a comprehensive accounting framework for TTD, expected within 100 days, which other religious bodies can also adopt.
