Assam, Japan agree to deepen partnership across key sectors

Assam and Japan are set to deepen collaboration in electronics, semiconductors, infrastructure, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship, following a call between Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Japan's Ambassador to India. While Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's proposed visit to Guwahati has been cancelled, a high-level business delegation is expected to visit Assam soon. This marks the second time Assam has missed the opportunity to host the Japanese Prime Minister.
