CM Shivakumar inaugurates 33 spillway gates of Tungabhadra Dam

Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, alongside Union Minister C R Patil and the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, inaugurated 33 new spillway gates at the Tungabhadra Dam. This significant upgrade follows the August 2024 incident where a gate was washed away, prompting a swift expert-led replacement. The Rs 51 crore project ensures the dam's functionality for decades, supporting agriculture across three states.
