Govt eyes fast-tracking local production of high-end medical devices

India is planning to boost local manufacturing of around 10 high-value medical devices, including MRI systems and pacemakers, to curb reliance on expensive imports. Industry consultations with the government are underway to identify key product categories for accelerated development.
