Ola Electric gets BIS certification for indigenous LFP battery cell

Ola Electric's subsidiary has secured Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification for its indigenously developed 46100 lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cell. This marks a first for an Indian company in this cylindrical format. The new cell, designed for both electric mobility and energy storage, expands their in-house battery portfolio and aims to reduce reliance on imported technologies.
