Rs 18,907 crore earmarked to build 26,474 kilometres of rural roads: Govt

The Central government plans to build 26,474 kilometers of rural roads by 2026-27. A budget of Rs 18,907 crore is allocated for this under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. The focus is on connecting left-out areas and ensuring all-weather roads. Quality and maintenance are key priorities.
