How a Rs 5 dispute ended Indian Railways paying Rs 10,000 as compensation

Indian Railways must refund five rupees to a passenger. The railways also have to pay ten thousand rupees in costs. This follows a consumer commission ruling in Ludhiana. The passenger received less refund than expected after cancelling a train ticket. Railways failed to inform the passenger about a bank deduction. The commission found this to be an unfair trade practice.
