Banks asked to track movable assets to aid loan recoveries

The government is collaborating with banks to create a system for sharing borrower asset information. This aims to speed up the recovery of bad loans. Banks will also enhance their monitoring of cases before Debt Recovery Tribunals. Special Lok Adalats are planned to clear pending cases. Lenders are prioritizing high-value cases and using Lok Adalats for faster resolutions.
