Coimbatore college student assaulted, held hostage at knifepoint for Rs 2 lakh ransom

A 19-year-old college student was assaulted, robbed, and held hostage for a day in Coimbatore by two individuals demanding a Rs 2 lakh ransom. The suspects escaped police by spraying pepper spray and later stole a motorcycle. One suspect has over 25 prior robbery cases.
