Shivakumar calls for legislature party meet at a resort on Tuesday ahead of June 18 Council polls

Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has convened a Congress legislature party meeting. MLAs will stay at a resort to prevent poaching by the JDS. The upcoming legislative council polls on June 18 are seen as a proxy battle between Congress and JDS. The BJP has pledged support to the JDS candidate. The contest is intense for the seven seats.
