Former Bengal minister Manas Bhunia quits TMC

Former minister Manas Bhunia has resigned from the Trinamool Congress. This adds to the party's ongoing crisis following its assembly poll defeat. Bhunia, a senior leader, quit all organisational posts. He stated he will continue to serve his constituency. Bhunia lost the recent assembly polls from Sabang. He had previously switched from Congress to TMC in 2016.
