Former Tripura militants withdraw blockade

Former militants ended their road and railway blockades in Tripura. The action followed negotiations with senior government officials. The blockades were launched over the non-implementation of a tripartite agreement. Hundreds of surrendered militants organized the disruptions. Vehicular and train services were affected across the state. Leaders of the disbanded outfits stated the government had not fulfilled its commitments.
