World's first gig economy treaty adopted at the United Nation's ILO

A historic international agreement has been adopted at the UN's International Labour Organization. This landmark convention aims to extend labour protections to hundreds of millions of gig economy workers, working in areas like food delivery and car services etc., globally. The convention applies to all platform workers, regardless of their employment status, according to the text adopted by ILO members.
