Pima County sheriff says Mexican authorities have not made contact over Nancy Guthrie search tip

The Pima County Sheriff's Department on Thursday said it has not been contacted by Mexican authorities amid news reports that an anonymous tip had prompted a search effort for Nancy Guthrie south of the border.

Ramona Guadalupe Ayala Ortiz, head of Buscando Corazones Nogales in Sonora, Mexico, said the collective received a tip that a grave belonging to Guthrie, 84, may have been found.

The tipster said searchers could find a body matching Guthrie's description in the Mariposa area near Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, 12 News reported.
