Calcutta HC directs Abhishek Banerjee to appear before CID by 6 pm in signature forgery case

Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee must appear before the state CID by 6 pm today. The Calcutta High Court granted him interim protection from coercive action for three weeks. The probe concerns alleged forgery of signatures of two party MLAs. Banerjee's counsel informed the court about his arrival in Kolkata. The matter will be heard again in two weeks.
