Rajya Sabha bypoll: NCP's Rajendra Jain files nomination

Rajendra Jain has filed his nomination as the Nationalist Congress Party candidate for the Rajya Sabha byelection. The election is scheduled for June 18. Jain is expected to win unopposed. He brings extensive legislative and organisational experience. The Mahayuti alliance enjoys a majority in the legislative assembly. This forms the electoral college for the Rajya Sabha election.
