Odisha doubles rice milling charges, to encourage paddy procurement

The Odisha government has doubled rice milling charges. This move aims to boost paddy procurement from farmers and support millers. Charges for parboiled rice increased from Rs 20 to Rs 40 per quintal. Raw rice milling charges rose from Rs 10 to Rs 20 per quintal. This decision is effective immediately. It is expected to strengthen the state's paddy processing.
