Signature forgery case: Cal HC permits Abhishek Banerjee to file plea seeking protection from coercive action

The Calcutta High Court has allowed TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee to file a petition. He seeks protection from the state CID's actions. The CID is investigating alleged forgery of TMC MLAs' signatures. This relates to appointing Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay as leader of opposition. The matter is expected to be heard soon.
