7 killed, 40 injured as 2 Maharashtra buses collide near Surat; PMO announces Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia

A horrific road accident claimed seven lives and left around 40 injured when two MSRTC buses collided on National Highway 53 near Bardoli, Surat. One bus, after hitting a tractor, veered across the divider and crashed into an oncoming bus, which subsequently caught fire. Rescue operations are underway, with the Prime Minister announcing ex-gratia payments for the victims.
