Telangana traffic challans via WhatsApp, SMS, email to be legally valid after 30 days; vehicle owners must update Vahan details

Telangana traffic fines sent digitally will now be official. Vehicle owners have one month to update contact details on the Vahan portal. After this period, messages sent to registered numbers and emails will be considered served. This aims to boost fine recovery and streamline enforcement. Non-receipt will not be a valid excuse for unpaid challans.
