Rain, thunderstorms keep mercury well below normal in Delhi

Delhi recorded significantly lower temperatures on Sunday. Rainfall and thunderstorms brought relief from the heat. This weather activity was caused by a western disturbance. The Air Quality Index remained satisfactory. Light rain or thunderstorms are forecast for Monday. Temperatures are expected to rise gradually afterwards. No heatwave conditions are anticipated for the first week of June.
