Assam cabinet to be expanded on June 5: CM Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a cabinet expansion for June 5, following the return of Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya from Mongolia. The current cabinet has four ministers alongside the Chief Minister. This expansion comes after the NDA secured a significant majority in the 2026 Assam Assembly elections.
