Truck driver killed in militant firing in Manipur's Ukhrul district, cops injured

The incident took place near TM Kasom, around 6 km from Shangkhai Kuki village, where security forces had been conducting operations to clear road blockades and facilitate the movement of vehicles carrying essential commodities to Ukhrul town. Chief minister Y Khemchand Singh condemned the ambush carried out on a goods vehicle along the National Highway-202 between Leingangching and TS Kasom under Litan police station, Ukhrul district.
