Anthropic eclipses OpenAI with valuation of $965 billion

Anthropic PBC has raised funding at a $965 billion valuation, overtaking rival OpenAI for the first time. The round was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks and Sequoia Capital, with each investing over $2 billion. Google and Amazon also joined as part of previously announced multibillion-dollar commitments to Anthropic.
