Money laundering case: Court sends 'godman' Ashok Kharat in judicial custody
Self-styled godman Ashok Kharat has been sent to 14-day judicial custody. He faces money laundering charges involving over Rs 47 crore. The Enforcement Directorate arrested Kharat last week. He is accused of orchestrating an extortion racket and laundering money through benami bank accounts. Kharat allegedly opened 60 accounts using devotees' documents without consent.
