Mirwaiz of Kashmir says violence and force is weakness while dialogue is the path to peace

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq emphasized dialogue for peace and prosperity. He recalled his father, Mirwaiz Farooq, who abhorred violence and championed engagement. Thirty-six years of conflict have cost Kashmir dearly. Mirwaiz believes dialogue respects democratic aspirations and dignity. International commitments remain unfulfilled.
