Odisha govt starts training drive to revive Bomkai weave

The Odisha government is launching a revival plan to preserve the endangered Bomkai weaving tradition in Ganjam district. Efforts include documenting original designs and training new artisans to safeguard the authenticity of the cotton Bomkai saree, which is now only practiced by a few families.
