PMK urges Centre to reject Karnataka's Mekedatu dam DPR

PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss has urged the Centre to reject Karnataka’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed Mekedatu dam, asserting that Tamil Nadu has every right to oppose the project. He warned that the dam could adversely affect irrigation and drinking water supplies for millions of people in Tamil Nadu. Ramadoss also dismissed Karnataka’s claims regarding Supreme Court rulings on the project, alleging that such assertions are misleading and contrary to the state's interests.
