Karnataka honour killing: A 48-year-old farmer from Karnataka’s Tumakuru allegedly murdered his 17-year-old daughter after opposing her relationship with an electrician. Police said he first dumped the body into a farm well before later burying it in a dry lakebed. The accused then disappeared for weeks, sleeping in temples and bus stands to avoid arrest, before finally being caught after a tip-off.
