Centre modernising 736 dams under Rs 10,211-crore rehabilitation programme

India is undertaking one of the world's largest dam rehabilitation programs, DRIP, with significant progress made in improving the safety of its vast dam infrastructure. Phases II and III, covering 736 dams, aim to enhance structural integrity and operational performance through extensive repairs and modernization efforts.
