Hamas official says military chief has died after Israel says it targeted him

A senior Hamas official told Reuters that the chief of the group's military wing, Izz al-Din al-Haddad, has died following Israeli airstrikes. Witnesses in Gaza reported mosque announcements of his "martyrdom." Haddad was described by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as an architect of the October 7th attacks.
