Commission of Inquiry’s deadline extended until November 20

The Centre has extended the deadline for the Commission of Inquiry probing Manipur's ethnic violence. The panel will now submit its report by November 20, 2026. This commission was formed in June 2023 to investigate the violence that began in May 2023. Over 260 people have died due to the ongoing conflict in the northeastern state.
