Over 38 Kuki, Naga civilians held captive in Manipur amid fresh ethnic violence
More than 38 people from Kuki and Naga communities are held captive in Manipur. The United Naga Council alleged 20 civilians were abducted. Efforts are underway for their safe release. The government is discussing with civil society and political leaders. The Union Home Ministry has been informed. Three Kuki individuals were killed in an ambush.
