Cabinet raises Minimum Support Prices for 14 kharif crops

The Union Cabinet has approved significant hikes in Minimum Support Prices for 14 Kharif crops for the 2026-27 marketing season. Sunflower Seed sees the largest absolute increase. Cotton and other oilseeds also receive substantial boosts. MSPs for all notified Kharif crops are set at least 50% above production costs. Common paddy MSP is fixed at Rs 2,441 per quintal.
