3 murders and a thread: Ex-Armyman behind killing spree in Uttar Pradesh shot dead in encounter

A former serviceman, identified as Gurpreet Singh, was apprehended after allegedly committing three murders within 24 hours. The killings, two on running trains and one in a hospital, were reportedly unprovoked and carried out by the mentally disturbed ex-soldier. Singh was later killed in a police encounter while attempting to escape.
