24-yr-old man gets 20-year RI for kidnapping, rape

A 24-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 30,000 for abducting and sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Sundargarh in 2021. The Pocso court also ordered Rs 7 lakh compensation for the survivor. The convict, who evaded arrest multiple times, was finally taken into custody in 2026.
