UK Government Raises National Terrorism Threat Level to “SEVERE”

The United Kingdom has raised its national terrorism threat level from “substantial” (an attack is likely) to “severe” (an attack is highly likely). This is the second-highest level on the scale and the first time it has reached “severe” in over four years.
