Thomas Cup: Satwik-Chirag, Ayush star as India down Canada 3-1 in opener

India beat Canada 3-1 in their Thomas Cup opener after recovering from Lakshya Sen’s loss to Victor Lai. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty levelled the tie, before Ayush Shetty and the pair of Hariharan Amsakarunan and M R Arjun sealed victory. Kidambi Srikanth was set for a dead rubber, while the women’s team next face Denmark.
