Over 10,000 new voters register ahead of elections

A total of 10,031 new voters had applied to be added to the electoral roll for the upcoming elections as of Thursday, head of the elections service Menelaos Vassiliou said on Friday.

He said the total number of eligible voters stood at 561,000 as of January 1, though this figure includes deceased individuals. The final number of voters for the parliamentary elections on May 24 will be determined after April 16.
